Calling All Do-Gooders: Take the Polar Plunge for a Worthy Cause!

Whether you’re an individual, an organization, or a business, the Polar Plunge welcomes all courageous hearts ready to get cold and creative in support of a great cause! Every dollar raised will help fund programs and events for over 23,000 Special Olympics athletes across Ontario.

Are you ready to make a splash in Port Colborne? Let’s show our support for these incredible athletes and help us hit our fundraising goal of $35,000! Join the excitement and #PORTicipate on February 9, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, as part of SportFest, the Festival of Sports™ weekend.

Here’s how it works:

Registration: Opens at 11:30 AM at Sugarloaf Marina (3 Marina Drive). Facilities include changing rooms and washrooms to ensure you're prepped for the plunge.
The Plunge: Takes place at H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park boat launch (160 Sugarloaf Street), just a short five-minute walk or drive from registration. A warming trailer will be available, but remember to bring a towel or bathrobe, water shoes or runners, and warm clothes to change into.
Not taking the plunge? Cheer on the fearless participants from the ample viewing areas and celebrate those who are #FreezinForAReason!
