Being Mindful in Nature- Daniel J. Patterson Campus

Join NC Sustainability's Katie Bristow for a walk around campus focusing on being present with nature. Studies have shown that being connected to nature and spending time outdoors can improve mood and decrease stress levels.

Get outside and see nature at work firsthand! Join us for an interactive walking tour of our NOTL campus, home to over 1000 species of life, 3 nature trails, a 15-acre wetland system and much more. On this extended walk, you’ll visit campus features such as our turtle beach nesting site, snake hibernaculum, Indigenous garden, pollinator garden and apiary. Come out and discover some unique parts of our campus you may have never seen before!

This event is open to all students and employees.

Meeting point: Participants will meet at the Marotta Entrance.
