Functional fitness seeks to build strength, flexibility, endurance and balance for navigating the physical world around you. We do this by practicing essential movements such as squatting, pulling, pushing, bending, climbing, walking, and running; all performed as part of an engaging, creative and challenging experience!
Who Should Participate:
These classes are for people of all experience levels and abilities who want to feel better physically and mentally, through movement! The exercises in these classes are designed to be challenging AND enjoyable. Adaptations, modifications or alternative movements will always be presented to participants as needed or desired.
Participating in Athletics and Recreation activities involves the risk of injury. The use of equipment, facilities, and premise of Niagara College by persons participating in Athletics and Recreation activities shall constitute acceptance of that risk regardless of the nature of the injury.
The College, its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained or suffered from persons participating in Athletics and recreation on or off the Niagara College property, whether caused directly or indirectly by conditions that may be
aggravated by participation in this event. [Examples: epilepsy, heart conditions, joint problems, poor physical fitness, etc.]
Participants should check with their physician before participating in Niagara College Campus Athletics and Recreation.
