What is a CCR?
Good question! A Co-Curricular Record (CCR) is an official Niagara College document that showcases your validated co-curricular involvement and achievements during your time as an NC student! It’s simple to populate your CCR! “Get Involved”, submit your experiences for approval, and watch your CCR grow!


Why should I get my CCR? How does it help me?
Your CCR showcases your transferable and employability skills, and learning outside of the classroom, so you can use your CCR when applying for jobs, internships, scholarships, awards, and continuing education!

Your CCR is a document that can enhance your resume or academic portfolios and give you a competitive advantage with future employers.

Community Engagement & Volunteering (CEV) connects NC students to volunteer opportunities to help build their professional and personal development, connections to the community beyond NC, and experiences in making an impact through volunteering their time and skills! The Consent is Key campaign and Sexual Violence Prevention & Response Coordinator (SVPRC) provide prevention education and initiatives to the Niagara College community surrounding sexual and gender-based violence. The Consent is Key campaign and SVPRC employ a trauma-informed and survivor centered approach to supporting students impacted by sexual and gender-based violence. Students in need of support, reporting options, informed decision-making process and resources can visit the website and/or reach out to the SVPRC!
By joining the Consent is Key group you can have fun at several events run by the SVPRC and make an impact by advocating for change surrounding sexual and gender-based violence.

The Niagara College School of Justice and Fitness offers challenging and rewarding programs that prepare students for a range of careers designed to help them make a positive impact in their local communities and beyond.

Programs focus on applied learning experiences in state-of-the-art on-campus facilities, including simulated crime scene labs, the Justice Studies Simulation Centre, and new athletic and fitness facilities, as well as through field placement opportunities.

Programs are taught by professors with significant industry experience. In addition, some programs offer alternative delivery formats; opportunities for students to earn additional certifications in conjunction with their credentials; and the chance to pursue nationally and internationally recognized industry-specific certifications post-graduation.

LEAD is a co-curricular program designed to offer students from any academic area the opportunity to explore and develop leadership skills, within three key areas: personal development, career readiness and community engagement.

Membership Benefits
The LEAD program will develop their leadership skills while enhancing the career-focused, hands-on training they receive within their program of study. Successful students will earn a Certificate of Leadership via their CCR through participation in the program.

There are a range of leadership experience and opportunities available both in-person and online including workshops, guest speakers, and conferences. This program offers you a fantastic opportunity to gain a competitive edge, valuable leadership skills and experiences to develop your resume and portfolio – making the most of your #myNCstory

Niagara College Therapeutic Recreation Activity Collective (nc-TRAC) is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of students and the broader community through dynamic, evidence-based recreation and leisure activities. By fostering connections and promoting holistic wellness, nc-TRAC aims to enrich the lives of all individuals involved, including students, staff, and community members.

Students who connect with nc-TRAC can participate in a wide range of scheduled and drop-in recreation and leisure activities across both the Welland and Daniel J. Patterson campuses.
